Il m'a semble que l'etude de cette question rentre dans notre sujet, bien

s'agit ici d'une disposition a imaginer, a inventer, sans s'apercevoir
qu'on imagine, et en attachant la plus grande importance et tous les
caracteres de la realite aux produits de son invention. A ce trait chacun
peut reconnaitre plus d'une de ses connaissances, et Alphonse Daudet a dans
un de ses romans peint de pied en cap un de ces personnages, qui est
sans cesse la victime d'une imagination a la fois trop riche et trop mal
gouvernee.

Je me demande s'il ne serait pas possible de faire une etude reguliere de
cette disposition mentale; je suis meme tres etonne qu'aucun auteur n'en
